My name is Nicole Dieckhoff, I have been training and working in the field of graphic design since 1997.
I attended college at the College of Dupage, in Naperville, IL and at Columbia College in Chicago, IL.
I did some small design projects and worked at a screen printing shop during my years of high school. My first big job working in design was at a company called Rydin Decal in 1999. I worked in the design department which consisted of a lot of pre-press layout work and printing to film. We also did some photo editing and other pre-press design work and I designed brochures and flyers for the company. I also worked in the finishing department at times which really helped give the full start to finish perspective of the design to printing process.

My second job was a telecommunications company called CommuniTech. I worked in the marketing department where I did a lot of web design, and made all of the brochures, flyers, and trade-show signs for the company.

When I started my first freelance graphic design business called Above and Beyond Design, I took CommuniTech on as my first main client. You can see most of my work from Above and Beyond Design in my Gallery, it consisted of a lot of logo design and print design work, I did also do some pre-press work and some custom work for weddings (programs, table settings, etc.) that is not shown in my gallery.

Since then I have gotten married, had a beautiful baby girl and moved west of the Chicago suburbs to focus on being a mom. Since I have a new last name, at a new location, and offer more design services, I decided to change my business name to ND Design. My focus has moved more towards web design, though I still like to do print, I have really become drawn to the creative aspect of web design. It's like creating a new world for each client. I have a deep passion for art and design, and because of that I am truly drawn to what I do. I love to sit down and really throw myself into my work, it consumes me. I cannot see myself doing anything else
